New Athletic Director announced
The search for a new Athletic Director is over. Current head baseball coach and social studies teacher Steve Teter will take over the position in the 2015-2016 academic school year.
The decision came Feb. 23 after months of meetings and an extensive search involving student interviews, coach interviews, and administration interviews.
“I’m very excited. It’s been a long and good process,” Teter said.
Teter believes this is a great opportunity and is ready to put the work in to be successful. Current Athletic Director Larry Dukes will still be around the school to assist Teter, but it will be Teter’s job and responsibility.
Teter’s job will be to continue success in all of the programs and to grow the athletic department with more championships and student athletes.
“I’m excited to finish the school year and the baseball season strong, then ready to start [the new job] over the summer,” Teter said.
