  • The next Friday Fall Fun Night will be on October 7.
  • Thursday the 22nd will be a D Day. Dismissal for students will be at 2:15 pm.
  • On Wednesday, September 21, seniors will have their Senior Unity Day while freshmen will go to the Basilica.
Dean of Professional Development Gary Scholl plays ice hockey with alumni on the frozen pond in Jan. 2013. Although JC has never had an ice hockey team, there remains a long tradition of playing hockey on the pond. Sophomore Helen Lortie plans to take this to the next level by creating an organized ice hockey team.

After Josh Hamer, class of 19, passed away in a tragic car accident, a locker memorial was set up in front of his locker to give students the ability to write letters dedicated to Josh. The community came together during this grieving period to honor a true Patriot by having a vigil on the baseball field, a memorial service, and a moment of silence during the first baseball home game.

Much debate has been going on about the health risks surrounding synthetic turf after an NBC investigation linking turf exposure to cancer. According Director of Facilities Stewart Walker, JCs fields are filled with 50 percent sand and 50 percent crumb rubber, and he states that the school looked into the recent concerns before implementing the turf fields.
