Junior Alyssa Kraus is a Copy Editor and Managing Editor for The Patriot and jcpatriot.com. This is her first year on staff and second year taking journalism. Kraus is a member of the varsity field hockey team and French Honor Society. She also plays on a club field hockey team outside of school. When she is not watching Netflix, Kraus enjoys playing with her dog and being with her family. Alyssa Kraus can be reached for comments at [email protected].

Instead of listening to stereotypes and being ashamed of them, as a community we must support each other and not place each other and ourselves into these stereotypical categories. Whether a student is a dedicated athlete, student, musician, or actor, one description does not fit all, and we must stop labeling students into groups.
