Junior Alyssa Kraus is a Copy Editor and Managing Editor for The Patriot and jcpatriot.com. This is her first year on staff and second year taking journalism. Kraus is a member of the varsity field hockey team and French Honor Society. She also plays on a club field hockey team outside of school. On Thursday, Oct. 26, a painting of a rainbow flag and two gay couples was removed from the Art Wing display in preparation for Open House. According to Principal Tom Durkin, the painting was removed because "We have policies about public displays of affection ... We don't want to make people uncomfortable," he said.
