Senior Christina Giovanazi is a Sports Editor for The Patriot and jcpatriot.com. This is her first year on staff and first year taking journalism. Outside of The Patriot, Giovanazi runs cross country and track and field. She also participates in Science Olympiad, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and is a student in the STEM Program. In her free time, Giovanazi can be spotted walking into things while playing Pokémon Go and drinking way too much coffee. Christina Giovanazi can be reached for comments at [email protected].

The Recreational Center, which opened in February 2010, offers a variety of ways for students to stay healthy while at school and is occasionally used for larger events, such as Accepted Students Day. In addition to the exercising equipment, there is also a six lane pool, a rock climbing wall, and multipurpose courts.
