Where to shop to get fall clothing essentials

Three of the best places to shop for women’s fall clothes

Belle Wilson, Editor-in-Chief

Red Dress Boutique

This online boutique is filled with high-quality and affordable fall clothing options. As soon as you get on the website, a banner comes up with the option to shop their “Fall Feelin” line.
This directly takes you to 37-pages filled with new clothing and accessories specifically for the fall season. My favorite pieces in this collection are the addition of reds and blush pinks to sweaters, dresses, and cardigans.
Typically, I wouldn’t picture these colors when I think of fall; however they pair perfectly with light yellows and burnt oranges. This site also is up-to-date with this year’s fashion fall trends: plaid blazers with matching pencil skirts, wide legged pants, sweater sets with knit tops and matching knit skirts, and form fitted long sleeve turtleneck tops.
I would definitely recommend checking out this site for any basic pieces or even statement accessories to add to your fall looks.

Abercrombie & Fitch

Much like Red Dress Boutique, Abercrombie & Fitch has an online shop, but it offers in-person shopping as well. Looking at the website, if you scroll down to the bottom of the home page there is an option to check out the men’s and women’s fall collections. Specifically in the woman’s collection, there is a lengthy page of all the new arrivals.
Although this selection is smaller than Red Dress Boutique, it has a lot of basic must-have pieces that have stayed in style for many falls. The sweater vest trend is making a comeback this year, and Abercrombie has lots of plaid and colored options for you to choose from.
I noticed the color pattern in this collection has a more neutral vibe with beiges, blacks, whites, and mauve. I did also notice a few muted greens in tops and dresses.
Emerald green and muted green are very in style this year although I don’t think Abercrombie & Fitch supplies enough of this color for the popular demand it will have this season.
I would also like to add that Abercrombie & Fitch is pricier than most of the other options on this list, but that may be because along with the quality, you’re paying for the brand name.

Petal and Pup

I first learned about this online boutique through fashion bloggers on Instagram. It’s not as well-known as these other sites, which may be a factor in helping to find unique outfits and pieces to wear with friends.
Like the other sites, when you first enter the website, there’s a banner that says “Fall for New” where the shop posts 100 new arrivals each week. It’s safe to say there are many different options that are constantly being updated on this site. First, I was very impressed with the color selection on their clothing pieces. I saw a lot of the popular greens, pinks, oranges, yellows, and other more neutral fall colors like tans.
I personally love to find one-of-a-kind dresses on this site because they are all conservative, yet cute, for taking family photos or parking in any fall activities. I also love the wide selection of thick knit jackets to throw over turtlenecks, sweaters, or dresses.
I would say out of the three sites, I prefer Petal and Pup. It’s a smaller owned business and puts out great quality pieces for reasonable prices.
It seems they did their research on what the fall trends are going to be this fall as we all offered basic fall options like plaid scarfs and brown boots that every girl needs in her fall wardrobe.
