Holiday Gift Guide on a Budget

Camryn Young, Staff Writer

Gifts are one of those holiday traditions that bring so much joy and really make Christmas, Christmas. It is easy for all generations and ages to enjoy the excitement of gifts.

Little kids enjoy the excitement of receiving a brand-new Barbie or Lego set. Teenagers enjoy the excitement of receiving their dream closet of clothes. Adults enjoy opening up new blankets to add to their collection, and elders enjoy receiving slippers they can wear in the comfort of their own home.

As we grow older and begin to make money from working, it is easy to find joy in buying our loved ones gifts rather than just receiving gifts.

Whether that may be a mother, father, sibling, best friend, or significant other, it is nice to show our appreciation for them through a few simple gifts or one big sentimental gift.

It is not easy to afford so many gifts for so many loved ones. Some simple gift ideas for Mom or Dad could be a candle, slippers they can wear around the house, or a self-care kit.
Some simple gift ideas for a best friend could be a gift card to their favorite restaurant, their favorite snack, a fuzzy blanket, or a new lotion. You could bake them a batch of cookies or bake them some cupcakes.

The best place to look for gifts for a loved one is Target. Target has a large variety of items for gift giving, from the most sentimental expensive gifts to the most simple gifts with the most reasonable prices.

A sentimental gift would include nice necklace that has a special meaning. A cheap gift would include a stuffed animal or a gift card.

Target has gifts for everyone: Mom, Dad, siblings, best friends, cousins, grandparents, significant others, and coworkers.

Although gift-giving is an exciting activity, it is not a Christmas necessity. The most sentimental gift you can give to others is spending time with them.

Spending time with loved ones is truly the most important part of Christmas, and gift giving just makes it exciting.
