ROBOTICS COMPETITION: On Saturday, the John Carroll Robotics team, including Jason Yan, Robbie Hauf, Chance Woosley, and Mark Ghattas, participated in the Calvert Classic Vex competition. Teams from around the region competed, and this competition is known to be one of the toughest competitions all year. The JC team was able to qualify in First Place for the finals, and they made it to the Quarterfinals. Not only did they succeed in the teams event, they also achieved the Second Place in Skills. The combination of being competitive in both events and the dedication they put into design and interviewing skills, JC Robotics left with the third highest award at this competition: The Design Award. This experience taught the team the areas where they are the strongest and gave them areas for improvement for their upcoming national competition in California next weekend and the States competition the middle of March.
