SCIENCE FIELD TRIP: Ms. Cochran’s Chesapeake Bay Ecology class visited the Saltana Education Foundation in Chestertown, Maryland to learn more about the Chesapeake Bay. Students were able to assist in putting out the sails on the boat, and they also helped to catch the fish and wildlife they would be studying later in the day. Students tested the salinity, pH, and the oxygen levels of the bay’s water. Students were also given the opportunity to hold some of the fish and crabs that they caught in the net.
