Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach and Assistant Athletic Director Laura Seifert recently began her first year at JC.

With the spring season coming soon, she said her goals for the program are to “implement a hard working fast-paced lacrosse program here where girls have a wonderful experience, love coming to practice, and get some wins on the board.”

She has set some long-term goals for this program which include “continuing to improve and develop our players, so they are successful both on the field and off the field, and position those who want to play in college and to win some championships.”

Coach Seifert has been coaching lacrosse for 18 years, and she is “extremely excited” about this season.

She coached and played lacrosse in college and is a level three certified coach through U.S. Lacrosse. She has coached all levels of lacrosse, so she has a lot of experience with students of all ages.

This experience and background in lacrosse is extremely helpful because she can help any player at any level, and can provide quality feedback to make them better.

Also, with this background and experience, her lacrosse IQ is high, and she can help the team see parts of the game that they have not yet seen, which will overall make the team and individuals better.

Coach Seifert commented, “We have great talent on our teams this year, and I am positive and optimistic [about the season].”
