Gracious Ndungu, ‘23 President

Activities: Apart from SGA, I am involved in John Carroll’s music department and theater department (along with a plethora of service and art honor societies).
Background: Outside of John Carroll I love playing piano, writing poetry, getting Wawa, and hanging out with friends. Although theater and SGA are a big part of my life, I am always looking to try new things and expand my worldview.
Message for JC Community: I am thrilled that I have the honor to represent you all. Please know I am here as the voice of the student body. Although I am a student like all of you, I am always willing to have an open ear and assist the student body in any way I can. I look forward to an amazing school year with you all.

Mia Snellenburg, ‘24    Vice President

Activities: Other than SGA, I also play soccer and lacrosse. I am also on the leadership team for Peer Ministry and a member of both the National Art and Spanish Honor Societies.
Background: I was Vice President of my class freshman and sophomore years. I have three dogs, and I used to live in North Carolina.
Message for JC Community: My message to the JC student community is that this year will be full of joy, school spirit, and memories that you will remember for a lifetime.

Paige Martin, ‘24   Secretary/Treasurer

Activities: I’m on the varsity tennis team, along with Philanthropy Club and Friends R Family.
Background: I was Class President my freshman year, and my sophomore year I was a class delegate. I also was on the varsity cheer team my freshman year, and I did all-star cheerleading since I was six. I have two older brothers who graduated in 2021 and 2022.
Message for JC Community: I can’t wait to emphasize school spirit in all areas this year; whether it be athletics, academics, or the visual and performing arts.

Ryan Skandalis, ‘23    Member-at-Large

Activities: Varsity Soccer, Peer Ministry Leadership Team, Math Club, NHS, SNHS
Background: I was Sophomore and Junior Class President. I play soccer for both the school and for a club team. I have five cousins currently at John Carroll and dozens more who are alumni.
Message for JC Community: I encourage all JC students to come out to our sporting events, plays and productions, and all other spirit-related activities as we make memories and relationships that will last forever.
