Senior Kishan Patel is the Online Editor in Chief for The Patriot and jcpatriot.com. This is his second year on staff and his third year taking journalism. He was previously a Sports Editor. Patel is the president of the Student Affairs Council.  He is a member of three varsity sports: football, indoor track and field, and outdoor track and field. When Patel isn’t walking through the hallways from after school meetings to practice or school events, you’ll find him at the Swaminarayan temple or awake at unreasonable hours of the night. If anybody wonders what the thing on his forehead is, it’s a tilak chandlo representing his religion, Swaminarayan sect of Hinduism. Kishan Patel can be reached for comments at [email protected].

Outside of all the Harford County Sheriff's Department precincts is a sign that displays the current number of overdoses and deaths by heroin in hopes of raising awareness of the epidemic. As on April 8, 2016, there have been 60 overdoses and 8 deaths.
